Letter from John Ormsby, Ballinamore, to Adam Ormsby, 13 Charlemont St., Dublin, in which he refers to Councillor Adair's opinion respecting poor Anthony's will ... George is of opinion that I should make application to be appointed receiver on the property ... you and Owen Phibbs are the only persons concerned, therefore my application must come thro' you ... I am sure and certain that Owen Phibbs will have no objection to my being appointed therefore it rests entirely with you and Ann". He goes on to write about other matters such as the price of wool "14s. a stone ... the horse is getting better ... let me know if I am to send the bullocks to Ballyhean fair ... Ball fair in September is the fair to send the sheep too ... George told me I ought not call in the May rent without instructions from you ..." He concludes "Believe me to remain with best regards to Ann and the boys, Yours most sincerely, John Ormsby. Includes a note "Charles Phibbs came here on Friday evening last from Camlin, he left Mary there. Wednesday evening 6 o'clock.
