Mrs. Finnuala Williams, great-grandniece of John Moon, donated reproductions of the John Moon letters to Kerby A. Miller via letter of 7 March 1979. The original manuscripts were later deposited in PRONI [reference number T3355].

Reproductions, transcripts, and abstracts of 10 letters written by John Moon, mainly sent from Manitoba, to his father near Ballymoney, County Antrim between 1875 and 1883, and two letters written in 1875 by Moon's sister, Mrs. Michael Moloney of Ottawa, likely to their sister-in-law in Ballymoney.
