Dr. Arnold Schrier collected the letter from a private donor and shared the letter with his collaborator Kerby A. Miller, who created the transcript. Schrier later donated the original to Miller.

Photocopy of a letter dictated by a widow in Boston and written on her behalf by her son, James Keenan, to her brother John in Ballyshannon. Dr Arnold Schrier has written notes in the margins of the photocopy. The letter is referenced to the transcript copy located at P155/64/30/1. The original manuscript is found in P114/1.
