Archival history

Per Dr. Arnold Schrier, collaborator of Kerby A. Miller, who provided the McFadden Letters to him: 'These letters were in the possession of Mr. Michael MacFadden, Kilcar, Co. Donegal and were obtained by a collector for the Irish Folklore Commission, Mr. Seán Ó hEochaidh, An Caiseal, Gort an Choirce, Co. Dhun na nGall. The collector sent them to Sean O'Sullivan at the I.F.C., who allowed me to make photostatic copies. Neither MacFadden nor the collector offered any background information on the letters.'
