Materials pertaining to the memoir of James Brown, born in 1823 in Donaghmore, Dungannon, County Tyrone. Brown's daughter transcribed his memoir as dictated to her by her father during the winter of 1904-5. Brown's granddaughter, Alice G. G. Brown, then recorded and typed his memoir material, entitling it, Reminiscences of my Grandfather James Brown 1904-5 As recorded by Alice G. G. Brown for George Ithell in 1982. The series contains copies of both the 1905 version of the memoir and the 1982 version, and Kerby A. Miller's research correspondence.
