Scope and content

Research compiled by Kerby A. Miller and his collaborators pertaining to two letters written from Irish emigrants in America to Irish nationalist Jeremiah O'Donovan Rossa that were published in John Devoy et al. (1948). Devoy's Post Bag, 1871-1928. The two letters, written in 1876 and 1880, contain proposal for launching attacks on Britain. The series includes multiple photocopies of the letters as published in Devoy's Post Bag heavily annotated and corrected by Miller.
