Material relating to press coverage of President Mary Robinson (MR), 1993, including copy of interviews of MR and Tánaiste Dick Spring for "Europe" Magazine, faxed to Joe Brennan, [Deputy Secretary to the President], Áras an Uachtaráin [official residence of the President of Ireland], by Press Section, Department of Foreign Affairs, 16/02/1993; copy of typed letter from Michael O'Brien, The O'Brien Press, to Paddy Prenderville, The Phoenix Magazine, Dublin, in relation to a piece in the magazine that falsely implied Bride Rosney [Special Adviser to the President] was involved with The O'Brien Press and therefore benefited from their publications, and which O'Brien referred to as "a deliberately misleading and scurrilous piece of journalism", with handwritten note [from Rosney?] asking what should be done, 31/03/1993; handwritten letter from Brian Leeson, RTÉ [Raidió Teilifís Éireann, Ireland's national public service broadcaster], which enclosed copy on VHS tape of "The Nun and the Freemason" [story of Foxford Mills, Co. Mayo], 25/06/1993; photocopies of newspaper articles showing poll results for public satisfaction in political leaders, giving MR a 93% satisfaction rating, 26/06/1993.
