Letter from [Sir] Samuel O'Malley, Kilboyne, Castlebar to George Charles, 3rd Earl, in which he expresses his regret that 'you will still remain for a time absent from the Commission of the Peace for Mayo' but adds that to question the Lord Chancellor's prudence in removing him 'might possibly be deemed unwise by the Duke of Wellington'. He advises the Earl to ask the Duke of Wellington when he was to be restored to the magistracy. The letter is marked 'private and confidential'.
