Letters to John Wilson Lynch, mainly dated 1902-3, and including copies of his reply letters.

A section containing correspondence between family members and friends, relating to business, family and social matters. Many of the letters are from David Wilson of Belvoir, Co. Clare, to his brother-in-law, Patrick M. Lynch, Galway. They include letters from members of the Redington family, two of which refer to political elections. A few letters are from friends and business associates.

John Wilson Lynch's correspondence is divided into 7 subsections. The first 3 subsections relate to him as a member of the Land Corporation of Ireland, as a director of the Galway Steam Boat Company and as the executor of his nephew Eddie Stapleton. In 1910 he refused to become the Lieutenant of Co. Clare and the subsection entitled other letters refers to local events and matters, such as the holding of the Galway Races. The letters from his friends and family have been further divided according to author and the last subsection contains the letters to Fanny Wilson Lynch.

Letters to William Wilson Lynch relating to his roles as: secretary to the Clare Hunt Ball Committee; trustee to the Hickman estate, and executor of the wills of his mother and aunt, Annie Redington.

The correspondence has been divided into 11 subsections, according to the recipient of the letter. The letters are mainly concerned with family affairs and travel on the Continent but they also cover social and political events of the time, such as Garibaldi's campaign in Italy 1851 [LE6/E/70], the Galway Hunt Ball of 1878 attended by the Duke of Connaught [LE6/E/122], and the Easter Rising of 1916 in Dublin [LE6/E/175].
