Enclosing typescript rehearsal schedule and handwritten notes (4 pp), one entitled "central relationships", the other containing dialogue for insertion in the play. Including correspondence between the director, the author, and the cast; rehearsal schedule; historical research done for the director; printed programmes and fliers (one advertising Stephen Rea's participation, otherwise replaced by Richard McMillan); press reviews (some focussing on the Equity trade union's case preventing Stephen Rea from performing in the US). The theatre programme includes a piece by Kilroy entitled "Adapting Pirandello". Also including a letter from Chris Luthin originally enclosing draft of an interview with Kilroy; interview by Thierry Dubost with director Paul. [This belongs together with the preceding three items, production and rehearsal scripts.]

Enclosing one copy of the text (43 pp) including front matter; with corrections in Kilroy's hand. Also enclosing texts for [blurb]. [The letter gives the impression that the enclosed were finished items, not proofs. Proofs are paginated 3-43; unclear what pp 1-2 contained.]

Typescript letter from Liz Frankel, Literary Associate at The Public Theater, New York, in thanks for sending them his play Henry (after Pirandello) . Praising the play for characters, story, and worthy adaptation, but regretting it does not suit their theatre just now.

This relates to Thomas Kilroy's play "Christ deliver us!", inspired by Frank Wedekind's "Frühlingserwachen". It was commissioned by the Abbey Theatre.
