Printed form for rentals (3 pp), with handwritten insertions by [William Ryan], giving a retrospective list of deeds and conveyances registered for Killalane [County Tipperary], containing 190 acres; c. mid-19th century. Deeds include mortgages, lease and release, sale, 1688-1736. Family names of owners and tenants are Wainsborough, Toler, Ingram, [Carden], Newstead, [Humprey], until sale by Colonel William [Humprey] to William Ryan of [Larkinconvey] on 28 July 1739. Tenant names then listed (no dates): Young, [McCutcheon], Grace, Ryan; specifying types of leasehold for these. Pencil annotation beside the 1739 sale stating that William Ryan was the writer's great-grandfather, married to Elizabeth, daughter of Richard Newsteed of Ballybough [County Tipperary]. Enclosing two fragments: Printed crest without name, over motto Virtus incendit vires; fragment [deed] with handwritten signature mark for Michael Grace.
