Copy of document entitled statement of case between John Hearn and William Kelly in relation to a debt of £768 from the earl of Clanricarde to John – noting that he was given the lands of Tynagh in mortgage for security. It states that in 1653 Ulick, Marquis of Clanricarde, gave 300 acres of the lands in question to other people, without paying back the loan. William Kelly had gone as guarantor for the Marquis, and now John Hearne was suing William to redeem his bond.

It gives an account of the establishment of the Taibhdhearc, and the plays that it has staged. It also gives estimated costs on producing a play a fortnight, which a permanent company would do.

He is to respond to the suit claiming one year's rent due to the plaintiff (£142.10.0), on the lands of Cloonreleagh, in the barony of Killian, Co Galway. The original lease was between Mark Lynch and Christopher Dillon Bellew, and was dated 12 August 1819.
