Set of index cards describing some of the local features of the townland of Salrock, [Salroc]. Some extracts from different sources describing the landscape of the townland, and a note about General Thompson, a veteran officer from Scotland who was resided there, and was zealous for the welfare of tenants. Features described include Lough Much, St. Roc's Roman Catholic Church, Salrock Cottage, Salrock House (where Alex. Thompson resided), Little Killery oyster beds, Cuan na Loinge, and Tóin na Leice. Festy Mortimer of Rosroe, and Professor Wilkins' book 'Ponds, Parks and Passes' are credited as being sources of some of the local information.
