"Catalpa". Black and white images taken from production by Red Kettle Theatre Company of Catalpa - the Movie, shown at Galway Arts Centre, Nun's Island. Images feature actor Donal O'Kelly who played in this one-man production. Images measure 253mm X 204mm and include a white border surrounding the images. Typescript note on reverse giving details of dates of production.
Testimony (in Turkish with English translation) of Hanefi Avcı, Vice President of the Police Intelligence Department, made to the İstanbul State Security Court regarding his comments made to the Susurluk Parliamentary Commission on 4 February 1997. On page 3, Avcı specifically mentions the kidnappings and assassinations of Behçet Cantürk and Savaş Buldan as the work of an illegal group and mentions Yaşar Öz as a member of this group. He notes that police identity cards and policing methods were used as Buldan and his associates were being taken from the scene of the incident, and the methods had no similarities to any mafia or underground clashes know to his service ('In any case, if these identity cards and policing methods had not been used, it would not have been possible for someone to take these people and murder them easily, since there are regular checkpoints in many places.').
Statement (in Turkish with English translation) of Pervin Buldan, the wife of Savaş Buldan, to the Yığılca public prosecutor, requesting the extension of the investigation so as to cover the new evidence produced after the Susurluk Report and the testimony of Hanefi Avcı implicating a covert police group as her husband's murderers.
