Letter from Martin Barrett (his brother), Bank of Ireland, Charleville, County Cork to Stephen Barrett, Mountjoy Prison, Dublin, stating that he is surprised to hear that he was arrested "as you were never a Sinn Feiner". "Unfortunately they have powers at present to arrest any one they like, innocent or guilty". Gives him family news and asks if there is anything that he can do.
