Among theatres interested in the play are the Circle Repertory (New York), Contact Theatre Company (Manchester); eventually produced also by the Liverpool Playhouse (1986). Including an acknowledgement of receipt of the script from Maggie Smith, correspondence with the Abbey showing they intended to produce the play when the Gate Theatre forestalled them; Professor Vera Gottlieb regarding an essay about his adaptation work. Also including offer of engagement by the BBC Radio Ulster, for an interview conducted with Kilroy about his adaptation from Chekhov (25 October 1981).
