Text of Françoise Hampson's speech made on behalf of the applicants at the 18 January 2000 oral hearing in the Cemil Kılıç and Mahmut Kaya cases held in the Human Rights Building, Strasbourg. She repeats the claims of the applicants submitted in their memorial and requests that any judgment awarded to Kaya be paid in Swiss francs as he is now a resident of Switzerland. A diagram depicting the judges, officials, and representatives in the Court that day is attached.
Typed copy of Canon Hayes' address at Lucan Spa Hotel, County Dublin, during the Rural Week-End organised by the Dublin Auxiliary Guild of Muintir na Tíre, 5 February 1956. Canon Hayes notes that it is the Silver Jubilee of Pope Pius XI's encyclical "Quadragesimo anno" (in which the Pope notes the major dangers for human freedom and dignity arising from unrestrained capitalism, from socialism, and from communism as practised in Russia) and ties the message of encyclical to the mission of Muintir na Tíre and the Apostolic Letter the organisation received in 1954.
