Also included are a short biography of Mitchell Henry, a consulting surgeon in Middlesex Hospital, who represented Galway as an MP in the late nineteenth century. Also a short outline of relevant members of the Wilbeforce family. A Mr. Mangan of Currywongan is credited with providing some of the local information.

An anecdote about Wittgenstein's visit to Ireland in 1934 is also included). Killary Harbour, Meall an Fhathaigh, Inis Bearna, Beácáin, the LDF lookout post, Tóin an Doire, Cuainín an Róin, Gob an Damba, Caladh na hInse, Dún Aodha, and some brief information about the Killary Salmon Co. Ltd. Festy Mortimer of Rosroe is credited with providing some of the local information.

Some information is given about Ross House, including a brief history of its ownership, and an illustration of its coat of arms which can be found above the archway in the barracks yard. Originally this was known as the O'Flaherty's House), Smearoid, Blakes of Renvyle, Liagaun, Renvyle Roman Catholic Chapel, Bun an Chlaí, Children's Burial Ground, Carraig an Choismeig, An Staca, Cuainín na Rón, Duirling, Maolán Dubh, Na Méaracháin, Carraig Amuigh, Cloch Mór, and Smearóid (possibly another name for the Children's Burial Ground).

Features described include Lough Much, St. Roc's Roman Catholic Church, Salrock Cottage, Salrock House (where Alex. Thompson resided), Little Killery oyster beds, Cuan na Loinge, and Tóin na Leice. Included are descriptions of Shanaveag River, Loch an Eibhinn (Lough Anivan on the OS, and better known locally as Loch an tSasanaigh. The lake is located close to The Ivy Cliff), and Marconi Station (on the western flank of Currywongaun Hill). Philip Coynes, an octagenarian is credited as providing some of the local information.
