File relating to a series of six public seminars organised by the National Centre for Socio-Legal Studies at La Trobe University, Melbourne, in conjunction with ABC Radio National and the Victorian Law Foundation, entitled "Human Rights: Towards the Year 2000". Kevin Boyle returned to La Trobe for a one month working on these seminars. Boyle was at this time now based at the University of Essex. File includes printed flyers, pamphlets and posters from the conference detailing abstracts of speakers and details of each seminar. Kevin Boyle participated in each seminar. Seminar titles include 'The Rights of Indigenous People', 'Human Rights and the Environment', 'Human rights- Australia's Reconstruction: An Agenda for Women', 'Human Rights - Immigration and Refugees', Human Rights - Children and Young People' and 'Human Rights - A Global Perspective'. The seminars were chaired by Prof. W.G. Carson, Director, National Centre for Socio Legal Studies, La Trobe University. File includes full transcripts of the seminars and also some fax and letter correspondence between Boyle and Carson discussing organising of the seminar series.
