Holograph letter from Anastace Myles, Kilkenny, to Lord Richard Earl of Cork. Asking for mercy for a widow with the care of house and children. Explaining that her husband Robert acquired certain livings (parsonage and vicarage) in the lands formerly belonging to the hospital of St. John of Jerusalem (dissolved by Elizabeth I in 1594) for [£] 300, but that he had to mortgage the land to Henry Elliott of Dublin for £ 52 [per annum] and was left unable to pay the sum because "of the great warres that was then goeing o[n]"; referring to Lord Richard now being in possession of the livings.
