By a deed of mortgage, dated 7 November 1893, Henrietta Daly lent her brothers William Daly and Denis St George Daly £8,000 she was entitled to under the trusts set up in the deed of 9 June 1890. Her two brothers were to insure each of their lives for £4,000 and to pay interest on the £8,000. When Henrietta married Thomas George Segrave, a naval officer on the SS St Louis, in July 1895 the mortgage was assigned to [two of her brothers in law] Francis McDonnell and Andrew W Blake as trustees. LE13/77 & /79 both have notes on the cover that the originals were sent to Messrs Blout on 9 Jan 1911.
