Hardbound diary kept by [Brendan Duddy] for 1968, only partly used as diary for that year - listing suppliers, expenditure, employees in business establishments in William Street and Beechwood Avenue. Later used as letterbook (draft and copy correspondence of mostly business nature with Frank Ford, Miss Jeffery, 'D.F.S.'1969-1970 pp.41-42), as diary of public events June 1970 to August 1971 (pp.174-182) - prevalence of 'riots', the dead, attacks on property. Including thickly marked entry for 7 August 1971 'Inter[n]ment. Trouble has real[l]y started' (p.179).
