According to the notes the British Government 'want to resume mtgs. but on a new level of co-operation and mutual help with much greater emphasis placed on publicity to show the major part that [the Republican Movement] is playing in situation. This would extend right up to Mins. statements leading to a recognised Rep. political stance.'
