Scope and content
Handwritten notes relating to contacts between S. and representatives of British Government. According to the notes S. said that 'on every recallable occasion in the past 7 months B.S. [British Government] had delayed and delayed and blamed R.M. for being impatient.' S. also notes that Scottish and Welsh devolution are also a factor in the negotiations because 'what could not be constitutionally passed for Ireland could not be constitutionally denied to Scotland, real freedom for Ireland means independence for Scotland and would put Labour Party out of office in England for years as Conservatives have a natural majority there.'
