Handwritten draft by Thomas Kilroy for his play Madame MacAdam's Travelling Players [ The Madame MacAdam Travelling Theatre ], Part 1. Listing the cast - "Rabe" now consistently given that name; "Bun Bourke" rendered "Mr. Prendergast". Handdrawn sketch of stage set-up; rough scheme of 12 scenes with an interval. Closely corresponding to final version. Draft dialogue for Part 1; much used later, but in different order (lacking "Madame MacAdam"'s monologue at the beginning, and ending Part 1 with a scene between "Sergeant" and "Chamberlain" which occurs at the end of scene 1). Also including notes, identifying the "missing child" as a plot device tying the action together as well as symbolising hopes, aspirations. [Paginated only 1 to 35.]
