Materials pertaining to the case (referred to internally within the Kurdish Litigation Project as Case 1) that was to be filed be Hamdiye Kişin against the Republic of Turkey with the European Commission on Human Rights regarding the shooting death of her husband, Abdülbaki Kişin, on 7 November 1992 while walking to work in Mazıdağı, Mardin Province. The file consists of a draft of Hamdiye Kişin’s application, including her witness statement, plus translations of previous police custody documents pertaining to Abdülbaki Kişin, and lists of similar murder cases in Turkey where the offender remains unknown. The application was not pursued.
