Scope and content
Kerby A. Miller's typed transcripts of the journal of Irish-American Fenian leader and trade unionist, Frank Roney (1841-1925), which documents his first year in San Francisco, including his efforts to find work. The journal evidently ceased once his financial situation improved. The series also contains photocopied pages from Shumsky, Neil L. (1976), 'Frank Roney's San Francisco — His Diary: April, 1875 ‐ March, 1876', Labor History 17, no. 2, pp. 245-264; and Miller's research notes on Roney.
