Fragment of a letter signed 'Emmet' and presumably addressed to John McGahern. Relates to the purchase of property, Emmet writes 'The Land offers a wide variety of exciting prospects for a house location....' He goes on to say and I think it would be a shame not to take advantage...the final decision rests with Madeline and yourself.' The writer also makes reference to 'your farm'. Reverse side contains a handwritten fragment of 'The Leavetaking'.
