File of records from the Field Day Theatre Company's production of Thomas Kilroy's play Double Cross, starting with a performance in Derry (11 February 1986), then touring Ireland with a run at The Gate Theatre, followed by a run at the Royal Court Theatre, London. Directed by Jim Sheridan; starring Stephen Rea, Kate O'Toole, Richard Howard. Containing correspondence (with Margaret Ramsay Ltd, Field Day, members of the public); printed programmes and promotional material; newspaper reviews including a copy of Theatre Ireland (May/August 1988) with an article about the play by Gerard Dawe. Including legal correspondence with Ramsay (and memorandum of agreement, 28 May 1985), correspondence from biographer Charles Lysaght, Jim Sheridan, from Séamus Deane (fragment letter); article in magazine Play and Players (March 1986). Also including correspondence from late 1992/ early 1993 between Kilroy's agents, the BBC World Service, and a member of the viewing public, suggesting that the play was produced by the BBC and broadcast in 1992, with [Stephen Rea].
