Higgins replies to Kilroy's request for information, sending also a short biography, commenting modern-day Ireland. Also offering commentary on Kilroy's neighbours, the Ardens [John and Margaretta D'Arcy]: "they were off to US to study forced breeding of shellfish, revolutionise Munster economy, when last heard of. Such energy! Confuse it with hope..." (10 October 1974)
