File of correspondence regarding Thomas Kilroy's radio play That Man Bracken , broadcast on Radio 3 (BBC), 20 June 1986 (7.30pm), and repeated in January 1987. Comprising correspondence between Kilroy, his literary agents, Robert Cooper and others at BBC Northern Ireland and BBC Manchester. Including an early letter to Cooper (23 June 1982) showing that the radio play predated the theatre play, and was itself first offered to the BBC in September 1982 as Bracken . Also including private letters from Jack Saward, and Ian Milligan, both testifying to Brendan Bracken's sexual proclivities; a letter from Mr A.R. Frewen, identifying himself as the son of the solicitor mentioned in the play.
