Scope and content
Typescript (computer off-print) drafts of paper (author not named), beginning 'throughout modern history Britian (sic) has for the most part, out fought, out manouvered and out thought every other contry (sic) in Europe...' - last draft is longest (c.5 pp), and has markings and corrections in pencil. Arguing for the Republican movement to apply more stringent political analysis to the situation, to cogently choose to participate in politics that put success before principles; also advocating to make British occupation increasingly expensive while reassuring both British and Irish as to the government of a united Ireland to appease their fear of either a civil war or a socialist/Marxist regime. (With caption by [Éamonn Downey] roughly dating the item for a reference to coming council elections of 1985; suggesting Denis Bradley added the markings.)
