Deed of renewal of lease . "Edward Eyre of Church Row, St. Pancrass County of Middlesex Kingdom of Great Britain Esquire Great Grandson and Heir at Law of Edward Eyre of the Town of Galway deceased" to Patrick Martin of Eyrecourt, County Galway. Recites a lease dated 20 April 1738 between Edward Eyre of Galway and Edward Eyre of Cork, merchant, "who formerly served Alexander Knapp" of 'the small brick House which was then building on the right hand of the way leading from the Quay of Galway ... to the Dock being twenty four feet in the front and adjoining the open Arch at the Quay and the Cantoon and Hearing with the slip leading to the River and also the large Brick House forty feet in front standing on the then New Ground to the Marsh on the left hand way leading the said Dock and the Ground backward to the Common Sewer being Six Score feet in depth and Mearing with the then New Cross Street and the Ground extending from the Corner of the said Cross Street to the Cantoon near the said Quay containing Six Score and four feet in front mearing on the inner Wall of the then new way leading to said Dock with one hundred and twenty feet backwards along the Town Wall on one side and along said New Cross Street on the other side with full liberty to him and his Undertenants on said Premises to Erect Palisades to each front of any House or Houses three feet in depth and no more except the fronts near said Open Arch the said two then New Houses being to be finished by the said Edward Eyre of Galway', for a yearly rent of £1. Other property included are three small brick houses formerly occupied by Margaret McLoughlin, Widow, and Alexander Lynch leading from the quay to the docks, as well as a slip-way into the river. Also includes the warehouse, known as the large Brickhouse, formerly in the possession of James Browne fitzValentine, merchant.
