Transcripts and reproductions of three letters sent to John B. Murphy in Dublin by his brother Daniel J. and Michael who emigrated to Ottawa, Illinois in 1849. Daniel writes the first two letters shortly after their emigration; Michael writes the final letter announcing that they will be relocating to New Orleans. Also included is the letter of donation from Sheila A. Murphy.
