Documents sent to Kerby A. Miller in 1978 by Miss Betty Craig of Ballybeen, Dundonald, County Down pertaining to her family. Her father's aunt had left Kilrea, County Derry for New Orleans in 1844, where she married a fellow Kilrea emigrant and died the following year. Two of Miss Craig's brothers also emigrated to the United States.
The series includes letters sent by Miss Craig to Miller over the course of 1978 providing family information; a further letter sent to Miss Craig by her cousin, and photocopies of family documents including an obituary for her brother Henry (1897-1971) who emigrated from Belfast to Florida and then to South Carolina.
