[Copy] letter from [Peter Freyer], Allahabad, to Capt J F ] Manifold, thanking him for the telegram from the Lieutenant Governor promising him a first class civil surgeoncy should he return to India and 'that the rest of my Rampur fee was under consideration'. He asks him to convey his sincere thanks to the Lieutenant Governor for the courtesy he has shown him in the matter and 'shall now in all probability return to India at the end of my furlough and avail myself of his honor'
