Kerby A. Miller created his transcript of Letter 1 from a manuscript fragment held in PRONI [reference number D2967/3]. William Devlin of Ballydevlin, Goleen, County Cork, donated a photocopy of Letter 2 to Kerby A. Miller for transcription.
