There is reference to this conference having being held in Dublin in September 1989. Correspondence (in File 1) also between Etienne Rynne and Kader Asmal of the Irish Anti-Apartheid Movement (14 May 1989) discussing the decision to let members from South Africa attend the world congress in Dublin owing to the ongoing Apartheid regime in South Africa; and also letters between Rynne and Prof. Nurhan Atasoy, University of Istanbul, Turkey and "the persecution of those of Turkish cultural background" and also on Turkish and Kurdish conflict.
