Bank in this city stopped payment yesterday evening ... and this day there was a run made on Sir William Alexander and Shaw and Co. Banks. Report says by the Catholics out of spite for refusing to discount some of their papers and those Banks having very little connection with that sect of people ... Frank Elwood ... proposes to set off for Tunbridge..."
