Secondary research forming part of Kerby A. Miller's research on letters sent by Catholic missionaries, mainly serving in the United States, to their alma mater All Hallows College in Drumcondra, Dublin during the mid-to-late 19th century. The series contains: Kerby A. Miller's research correspondence with relatives of the letter-writers, including the Rev Andrew Talty, archivists, the Berkeley County Historical Society, and the diocese in a number of related cities; biographical notes and research on the priests; census research; abstracts of the letters with notes and annotations; an annotated copy of Patrick F. Murray's 1956 notes on the missionary correspondence, also held on University of Notre Dame microfilm; and photocopied pages from secondary sources on West Virginia, St Peters Roman Catholic Church, All Hallows priests, and the Immaculate Conception Parish in Massachusetts.
