A copy of the case on behalf of George Charles 3rd Earl to establish his right to hold a manorial court in Castlebar under powers granted to Sir John Bingham and to appoint his agent as steward or seneschal. The case quotes extracts from letters patent of 1609 and 1614, whereby Sir John Bingham was granted the manor of Cloonagashal and the castle and town of Castlebar, 'Castlebarry'. Case compiled by R and E Livesay. Includes the opinion of Richard W Green, Solicitor General, on various queries relating to the case (19 Jan 1843).
