Published judgment in the Zeki Aksoy case (A44/43/1/5). On 18 December 1996, the Court ruled eight votes to one that there had been violations of Articles 3, 5, 6, 13, and 25 of the European Convention on Human Rights, and awarded Aksoy's father 4,283,450,000 lira in pecuniary and non-pecuniary damages, and £20,710 sterling (less 12,515 French francs awarded in legal aid).
