Correspondence to President Mary Robinson (MR) from Peter Ryan (PR), Secretary to the President, and from Taoiseach Charlie [Charles J] Haughey, including photocopies of correspondence from Bundoran Waterworld Limited and between PR and Secretary to the Government, relating to request for MR to open new Water Leisure Centre, with this having to be rescinded as it was function of Urban District Council, 28/03-15/15/1991; letter from Taoiseach, 09/04/1991, informing MR that he was seeking formal approval from Government to consent to MR's request to leave State for ceremony announcing logo for the Bank [European Bank], at formal inauguration ceremony hosted by UK Prime Minister [John] Major, London on 15/04/1991; typed memo from PR listing invitations for functions abroad for consideration and asking for guidance on which should be pursued and which should be declined, 22/04/1991; typed memo from PR relating to new stationery design, 02/05/1991; typed memo from PR in relation to Portuguese authorities wishing to change dates for consideration for MR's visit, 07/05/1991; correspondence between PR and Col. Patrick McNally, Aide-de-Camp (ADC), and between PR and MR in relation to letter McNally had sent to MR regarding upcoming trip to Portugal, for which MR had requested only 1 ADC, which was change from previous presidents, which PR explained was at MR's discretion to do, and remained so for future trips, including her return from Britain for which she requested to be unaccompanied, 11/06/1991.
