The first file in this sub-subseries (G60/39/2/8/1) consists of correspondence with the Department of Foreign Affairs for the period 22/7/1950-8/9/1986. Material in the second file (G60/39/2/8/2) consists of correspondence with various embassies including with the British Embassy for the period (05/11/1956-31/5/1988); material relating to the first ambassador to speak Irish when presenting his credentials (Sweden 1950s) and material relating to Irish people being stopped / harassed when traveling to Northern Ireland because of their Irish names. The final file (G60/39/2/8/3) consists of newsletters and weekly bulletins from the department of Foreign Affairs for the period 19/7/1954-13/11/1975 which includes several "Free China Gazette" and "Independent Fermosa" newsletters which relate to Taiwan (1963-65).
