Typed draft of an address on Muintir na Tíre given by Father Hayes at Thurles. He implores the attendees to not wait until after World War II to work together within their parish, and that parish councils will provide the spiritual outlook needed to support a national agriculture. Father Hayes also notes that the Thurles guild has not had the success they would have desired in their first year but that 'with a year's education behind you of what a war may bring, you may face the situation with a better spirit and with a stronger will.'
