File including records relating to peace talks in Northern Ireland from 1992 to 1998. The former talks in 1992 were what became known as the Brooke/Mayhew talks in Northern Ireland in 1991/92, chaired by Sir Ninian Stephen. They were the first negotiations to divide into three strands - relationships within Northern Ireland, between north and south, and between Britain and Ireland. The latter material relates to the Good Friday Agreement.

Includes unsigned typed text of letter to Sir Ninian Stephen, possibly by John Hume - referencing and quoting from SDLP comments, 6 July 1992; "Principles of a New Framework for Government - An Alliance Paper" 5 May 1992; "Fundamental Aspects of the Problem and Common Interests and Themes An Alliance Opening Statement to Strand 2" July 1992; "Strand 2 Opening Statement by Rev. Dr. Ian Paisley MP MEP on behalf of the Ulster Democratic Unionist Party; "DUP Paper on the Underlying Principles" 4 May 1992. Press release from Irish Government Information Service and attached report re/ "The Launching of an Initiative on Strategic Management in the Public Service by the Taoiseach, Mr. Albert Reynolds, T.D., 22 Feb 1994.

1998 Good Friday Agreement material includes printed original text of the Agreement as circulated to households in Northern Ireland, "It's Your Agreement" on cover; Fax copy of press release from Ulster Unionist Party, 7 Dec 1998, criticising Seamus Mallon for recent comments re. cross-border co-operation and implementation bodies; offprint of article "The Northern Ireland Labour Market", reprinted from "Proceedings of the British Academy" - "Ireland North and South - Perspectives from Social Science" by Graham Gudgin, signed and dedicated to Hugh Logue; Printed press release from Sinn Féin - "Good Friday Agreement: The Only Way Forward" by Gerry Adams MP, An assessment of the current state of the peace process and Good Friday Agreement, 29 Jul 1999. Manuscript notes by Hugh Logue about details of Good Friday Agreement. Also printed conference programme from "The Good Friday Agreement in all its Parts: Safeguarding the Totality of Relationships". 8-9 March, 2018, Dundalk, Co. Louth.
