This files consists of lectures and addresses covering the period 1892 – 1914 and includes “The necessity of de-anglicising Ireland”, given by Douglas Hyde before the National Literary society on 25th November 1892; “A defence of storytelling”, a lecture given by Charles Morgan; the 1902 O’Gowney memorial lecture given by Rev J O’Donovan; an address given by An Craoibhín Aoibhinn [Douglas Hyde] on 7th June 1913, and to Limerick county council in 1914, and a pamphlet of his pronouncement :the Gaelic League and Politics”, 1914. Some of the addresses are photocopies or reproductions from a later date to the original event.
