Marriage Settlement of John V. Semple and Lavinia O'Malley. The parties are (1) John Bingham Semple of Turlough, Co. Mayo (2) Owen O'Malley of Spencer Park, Co. Mayo (3) Lavinia O'Malley of Spencer Park (4) George Glendinning of Westport, Co. Mayo and George Ormsby of Knockmore (5) Mary Semple of Turlough widow and executor of Charles Semple. Lavinia entitled to £1350 under the last will of her father Middleton O'Malley of Westport of Westport, deceased. This money secured by bonds of Owen O'Malley and charged on lands of Davidstown, Grogan and Ardbeg, Co. Kilkenny. Charles Semple in 1817 obtained judgements against Martin Kirwan late of Dalgan Park, deceased and Patrick Kirwan then of Carrigholy and now of Dalgan Park. By deed 10 September 1799 Richard Earl of Lucan leased to Charles Semple then a captain in North Mayo militia, 5 small houses in Spencer Street, Castlebar, built by William Ellison Esq. for 3 lives - Charles Semple, Thomas Charles Ellison and Samuel Lindsey Bucknall. Jointure £120 or £150 'as the case may be'. Witnesses Edward Fitzgerald and John Garvey.
