The maps have been annotated by Tim Robinson with borders outlined in coloured ink, and notes in pencil. An indexing system used on the maps by Robinson corresponds with his field notebook (see P120/3/2/1/2).

The map is drawn at 2 miles to 1 inch, and was surveyed by H L Lowden and J F Johnson. O'Shaughnessy has made some handwritten notes on the map. The map was published in 1894, but it is likely O'Shaughnessy's edits were c. 1896.
