This series consists mainly of articles by and relating to Irish language writers along with biographies and obituaries. It also includes a typed copy of the 1883 diary / autobiography of Cú Uladh (Peadar Mac Fhionnlaoich) [G60/19/4/1].

Material in the first eight files of this subseries consist of various work plans and strategic plans for both the organisation and the Irish language, are arranged chronologically from 1942 to 2009 and consist of drafts, reports, cuttings, press releases and correspondence. The final three files in this subseries contain material relating to a cooperation scheme (1986-1989) and include CVs and applications.

Material in this subseries relates to various cases Mary Robinson (MR) worked on as Junior Counsel, Senior Counsel or legal advisor. Many of these cases were precedent setting and resulted in significant changes in Irish legislation, thereby drastically improving citizens' rights.

An approximate chronological arrangement, based on when MR became involved in each case, was applied.

This subseries consists of research notes relating to Conradh na Gaeilge in the Ulster province.

Material in this subseries relates to Conradh na Gaeilge’s Television licence campaign, where members of the public refused to pay due to the lack of Irish language programmes available on RTÉ, and to the many court cases that resulted. Material in this subseries relates to the translation services provided by Conradh na Gaeilge to various businesses, consists mainly of correspondence and samples, and is arranged chronologically. It includes a translation of the “Safe Cross Code” (G60/7/7/1), office signage translations (G60/7/7/2) and translations of computer terms (G60/7/7/3). This last file also contains a booklet from siemens about computer translation programmes.

This subseries consists of material relating to training for those learning or teaching Irish and is further subdivided. The first three sub-subseries relate to language courses (G60/31/1/1), summer schools (G60/31/1/2) and folk schools (Daonscoil) (G60/31/1/3) respectively, and each are arranged chronologically where possible. Coursebooks and correspondence relating to training of guides (teachers) is covered in the file “Cúrsaí do Threoraithe” (G60/31/1/4). The subseries “Material for Teaching/Learning” (G60/31/1/5) consists of material used by teachers and learners alike to aid in teaching/learning Irish, such as text books, language exercises, and scrapbooks of vocabulary. The final three files in this subseries consists of material relating to Irish language terminology (G60/31/1/6), flyers and ephemera (G60/31/1/7) and ANCO [The Industrial Training Authority (An Comhairle Oiliúna)] (G60/31/1/8).

This subseries relates to the establishment of an Irish language Television Station, Teilifís na Gaeilge (TnaG) later to become TG4. Material consists of correspondence, reports, press releases, articles, cuttings and flyers and is filed in chronological order. It includes material relating to the urgent need for an Irish language Television Station including articles on and samples from Welsh, Catalonian and Basque television [G60/36/1]; material relating to the "Feachtas Náisiúnta Teilifíse" [National Television campaign] [G60/36/2-G60/36/6]; material relating to the “Forum on TV Stations in lesser-used languages in the EU” (Oct 1996) and material relating to the launch of TnaG [G60/36/3/9].
